Vision
BSDA focuses its efforts on reaching the truly impoverished orphans and street children living with HIV/AIDS or whose families are living with HIV/AIDS and educating them on life issues such as: HIV/AIDS; Drug abuse/addiction awareness and prevention; violence prevention; social and Buddhist morality, Life skill and community development in Cambodia.
Mission
To cooperate with the Cambodian government, Buddhist institutions both local and international, and aid agencies to enhance access to non-formal education and social resources for both the impoverished and women and children through an “integrated community development program” in Cambodia.
To provide assistance through the monastic community (the Sangha).to orphans and street children including those living with HIV/AIDS when public social services are not available and when public education is not accessible or affordable.
To provide poor and at-risk persons with knowledge and prevention strategies for HIV/AIDS, drug abuse/addiction, and violence.
Programmed goal
To work in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS), primary schools, secondary schools, pedagogy centers, training centers, health departments, prisons, target local groups and communities through cooperation with local authorities and NGOs in order to improve their standard of living and human resources.
The purpose of organisation
Work in a partnership with the government, Aid Agency, UN, International Organization Foreign Embassies, NGO to save the poorest of poor and for social development though the objective as follow:
- To provide moral support and moral guidance, and some material assistance to street children, orphans and the truly impoverished
- To reduce drug abuse and HIV/AIDS issue
- To create counselling, treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts and people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA)
- To assist the poor community to attain basic health, food security, livelihood, income generation and hygiene standards
- To provide an education in social and Buddhist ethics concerning on social issue
- To reinforce the democratic, human and legal rights
- To increase the community development on natural resource management, livelihood and agriculture in rural area
- To strengthen and improve the social accountability and good governance
- To support the orphan and vulnerable children
- To improve the education in the rural area
