Workshop of TC (Therapeutic Community) on drug abuse/ drug addiction at Interior Ministry
in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
23 April - 04 May 2007, Mr. Martin Lutter Johan NACD's advisor invited the five of BSDA's officers to participate the workshop of TC (Therapeutic Community) on drug abuse/ drug addiction at Interior Ministry in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. That workshop was prepared by NACD, implemented by DAYTOP International US and supported by US Embassy in Phnom Penh. There were 91 participants coming from Government's institution and NGO.T here were two modules or chapters in the training, such as Module III and Module IIII.

Training Goal:
1 To re-establish and strengthen the learning community.
2 To identify individual and group counseling skills which are necessary to assist clients in the recovery process.
3 To elaborate on the psychological tools which distribute the development of insight and increase self-efficacy.
4 To identify counseling approaches which are effective in a drug-free, self-help treatment setting.
5 To learn how to practice case management.

Objectives:
1 Participants will understand how clients are assigned to counselors
2 Participants will understand how case management works.
3 Participants will develop an awareness of common group issues, including identification, projection, projective identification, transference, and counter-transference.
4 Participants will be able to identify and differentiate a variety of groups in a treatment center, including static and extended groups, probes and specialty, or theme oriented groups and their particular applications
5 Participants will learn how to utilize counseling tools to increase clients' insight that compliment the effects of behavior- shaping strategies and reinforce behaviors changes.
6 Participants will learn how to develop and review treatment plans.

That training will be started to pursue on 9 July -20 July 2007 , training about Module V and Module IV in order to finish the training course.
