Latter Day Saints Charities Fund: BSDA received donations from the Latter Day Saints Charities Fund to implement the Computer Training, Street Children Life Skills and Office Supply Project in two districts of Kampong Cham Province. The project provided materials and instruments such as computers, desks, study equipment and musical equipment, to enable the beneficiaries to build valuable life skills and reintegrate into Cambodian culture. Both adults and street children have benefited from the project. As the result of the project families now have sustainable life skills, human resources and the opportunities to create a better life.
UNICEF Fund: A grant was received from UNICEF, (Phnom Penh, Cambodia office) for an HIV/AIDS and Drug Abuse Prevention Project in Kampong Cham and Kampong Siem Districts. The project has focused on children and adults' education activities through foreign language training every day. There are 1542 children and adults collected from impoverished communities in the area to get education and training at the center. This project has a mobile volunteer group to educate people directly in their communities and public schools about HIV/AIDS, Drug Abuse, and morality. The project also provides valuable education on how to protect themselves from HIV/AIDS and drug abuse, while teaching them a foreign language (English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai).
English Contributors and VSO Fund: The grant from English Contributors and VSO (Volunteer Service Overseas) was a special Head of Mission Fund, which supported BSDA to set up a Street Children and Vulnerable Children Project with life skills (traditional dancing and musical training) and education (morality education) and supporting musical equipment for 120 children. The beneficiaries are street children and orphans affected by HIV/AIDS and drug abuse. The children received a life skill, and had the opportunity to receive education and the knowledge to solve problems (HIV/AIDS, drug abuse, and illiteracy) by themselves.
